Qigong Routine for Healing
Qigong, pronounced as “chee-gong,” is a ancient practice that combines gentle movement, breathing, and affirmative intention to help the body, mind, and spirit achieve a state of vitality!
Qigong can be used to help the body “naturally heal.”
Natural Healing
The term “healing” can be interpreted in many different ways. In this approach to Qigong, healing refers to the natural process of the body. If we have an injury, the body wants to heal and return to full function. If we have excessive or unbalanced emotions, our system wants to return to a state of balance. If our Qi and energy is stagnant, our system wants it to flow smoothly.
In short, ‘some part’ of ourselves simply wants to feel good and heal.
Sometimes the natural healing process can be slowed down or stopped due to tension, stress, emotions, or low energy and vitality. We can aim to eliminate all the factors that could potentially interfere with our body’s desire to feel our best. This is what is meant by the term ‘natural healing.’
Here is a practice that can help encourage natural healing 🙂
As you can see, this is a simple practice that is easy to incorporate into a busy day. The movements help release any tension from the chest, shoulders, and heart system, while breathing deeply and naturally!
The key is allowing yourself to ‘find a state of healing.’ Often it’s straightforward connecting to that healing space, but sometimes it can be challenging!
Many of us are busy and over stimulated which makes it difficult to find that peaceful, calm, and nourishing healing energy. But it is there, we just have to create the space for it!
