Do you suffer from anxiety?
Here is an easy qi gong breathing exercise that an help.
Many people are affected by anxiety nowadays, whether it is acute or chronic. You may have been given the diagnosis of Generalized Anxiety Disorder and may be receiving treatment for it. If so, this simple exercise, along with a regular Qigong practice can really help!
We experience anxiety because of some real or perceived danger that causes fear.
There is a whole cycle of symptoms that can appear such as:
- shortness of breath
- tightness in the chest and throat
- difficulty breathing
- rapid heart rate
- sweaty palms
- dry mouth
- looping or repetitive thoughts
- difficulty calming or settling down
- and many other symptoms
The important thing to do it breathe.
Notice what is happening and just breathe deeply. Try and practice this exercise everyday, even twice a day for best results.
Everything you do to help yourself is useful. Take a brisk walk, journal, talk to a friend, practice Qigong – it will all help!
