Qi Gong practice can help you feel more energy, less stress, reduce pain, and leave you feeling full of life and vitality. If you are brand new to Qi Gong practice, you haven’t started yet, or you already have experience, it is good to have many different reasons to practice. It is good to connect with “why” we are doing what we are doing.
Here are 5 reasons to practice Qi Gong.
1. Qi Gong can help increase circulation without causing harm or strain to the body.
There is no doubt that we need healthy blood, oxygen, lymphatic, and qi circulation throughout the body in order to feel our best. If we can tolerate a “hard workout” that’s great, but often we can end up injuring ourselves if we push too hard. Qi Gong is a great tool to strongly and strategically increase circulation in the body without causing excessive strain or injury
2. Qi Gong can improve balance and coordination.
One of the most difficult things to go through is an injury from a fall. After age 30 most people slowly begin losing bone density, especially women. It just takes a second of distraction, or missing that curb to trip and seriously hurt yourself. Often people are not even aware that they fell until they wake up laying on the ground. This is often because we don’t practice using our balance and coordination. If we had a safe way to improve hand eye coordination, and balance it could prevent serious injury from falls and minor accidents. Qi Gong is an excellent tool to help with this!
3. Qi Gong can improve the quality of your sleep.
Insomnia affects many people. We can have issues falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early. Qi Gong can help you sleep longer, and (maybe even more importantly) improve the quality of your sleep.
4. Qi Gong can reduce stress and anxiety.
There is no doubt, stress is a killer. Most conditions, from minor to major, can be caused by or made worse by stress. It is very clear that we need to manage stress, and prevent stress from building up in the body. It is great to talk about stressors, vent, or even receive therapy but Qi Gong can provide daily stress reduction. The more we practice, the more effective Qi Gong can be to help reduce acute or chronic stress and anxiety.
5. Qi Gong can create harmony.
It is nice to experience a state of wellness and vitality in our own body, but it is wonderful to share it with others! When you practice Qi Gong your state of vitality begins to resonate from you, like a candle in a dark room. Not only does it help you, but your practice can also help others feel just a little bit better 🙂
